Training is an essential part of an actor's craft. To that end, my teaching practice focuses on three strands:

  • Freeing the actor physically & mentally through long-term training & deliberate practice

  • Empowering the actor-devisor

  • Ensemble and collaborative work

I have worked with companies like Complicite, Tanztheatre Wuppertal, Frantic Assembly & Gecko as part of my research in actor training & creation, and I aim to distill my experience into a simple & structured process for actors & creators. My clients include organizations like NAFA (SG), Identity School of Acting (UK) & SIT (SG).

I also create bespoke courses for groups and individuals wishing to train, and to devise work. Please email me to discuss your needs.

This one-day training session is designed to give performers a chance to stretch and move their bodies, and be more physically engaged with their craft.

Using a combination of body conditioning, psycho-physical & movement exercises, actors will get better acquainted with their own bodies, and the potential it holds for creating movement and physicality.

Suitable for actors looking to complement their current training, and for those who wish to train and stay connected to their bodies.

This workshop aims to introduce actors & creators to more movement possibilities in their work, and help them gain more confidence in their bodies.

Combining traditional methodologies like Grotowski, Meyerhold & Corporeal Mime with contemporary theatre-making practices, this compact three-day workshop will give participants a chance to find new ways of using their bodies, learn how to create solo, duet & ensemble sequences and gain new ways of telling stories on stage.

Suitable for theatre-makers and actors looking to find inspiration for their work, and for those who wish to learn more about physical theatre.

These informal sessions are meant to provide an conducive environment for actors to practice their cold-reading skills. Held every quarterly, actors will come together to read a contemporary play of their choosing.

The next session will be held on the 19th November 7:30pm at the Practice Tuckshop.
